Random Info
I am in a group of girls who have blog topics to write about. I don't usually do a very good job of keeping up with them, but I found time to do this one. It is a list of interesting questions with my responses.
How many times a week do you cook and eat out?
I cook for the boys most nights they are with me, unless we have an early ball game...then its hotdogs at the ball park! John and I usually eat out when we don't have the boys and he is not at work.
What is your family's favorite dinner?
The boys really aren't crazy about anything I cook them unless its frozen out of a box! When I try to cook them "real food" they gripe too much! I really like to cook angel hair pasta with garlic toast!! YUM! I also like Santa Fe Soup!
Do you have a fast and easy recipe that you use frequently?
Santa Fe soup is easy because you just dump it all in one pot.
How do you keep up with the house work? When do you get it done?John is a big help with housework. It takes both of us to keep that house clean. We just do things as needed, not on a set schedule.
Do you have any tips for getting it done faster/easier?Yes, get your husband to help!!
Do you have a bedtime routine for the kids?The boys go to bed close to 8:30 on school nights. I let them watch t.v or play a video game in bed for about 15-20 minutes. It helps them to calm down. Zachary is my night owl...it takes him forever to fall asleep.
What kind of staples do you keep stocked in your kitchen?fruit, pickled okra and carrots, yogurt, milk, cereal, Fiber One Bars!! :)
How often do you go to the grocery store?Since John practically lives there...he brings home something we need almost daily. Other than that I go about once a week.
Do you have a special day for running errands or is it just when you need to?I usually run errands during lunch or when the boys are with their dad. I don't usually attempt to run errands with five boys. Not smart!
Do you share your the household responsibilities?
yes, John is wonderful. We share all of the responsibilities.
What is your best organizational tip?
Plan ahead, make lists
What is your favorite cleaner(s)?
Lysol wipes!!!
How far in advance do you start planning the kids' birthday parties?The boys' birthday is in December. I usually start in November.
How do you keep track of all your events/to do?Calendar in my purse, at home, and at work.

Briley Gets His Amtryke
Briley received a new Amtryke from the Ambucs at the ABC Rodeo Friday night. He loves it! He would not have been able to ride this style of bike before his surgery at Shriners! Thank you Ambucs!
